The 1997 musical “The Full Monty” is the inspiration for Fox’s “The Real Full Monty,” a new two-hour special in which a group of male celebrities bare (almost) all for charity; The network just took a first look at it.

The special offer aims to help raise awareness of prostate, testicular and bowel cancer testing and research and encourage men to get regular check-ups. The cast includes host Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs (“All American,” “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”), Tyler Posey (“Teen Wolf”), Bruno Tonioli (“Dancing with the Stars”), James Van Der Beek ( “Dawson’s Creek,” “Varsity Blues”) and Super Bowl champion Chris Jones. Van Der Beek recently announced his own diagnosis: colon cancer.

During the special, Anderson will lead the male cast to train and rehearse for a revealing performance choreographed by Mandy Moore (“La La Land,” “So You Think You Can Dance”). Throughout their journey, the celebrities share their personal stories and how cancer has impacted their lives.

The special airs Monday, December 9th on Fox.
