What is being built in pace at the former Big Surf Water Park?

Location: McClintock drive north of the Curry Road into pace

Description: Nextwave Tempe, a three-building industrial complex of a total of 689,000 square foot, is under construction of 35.5 hectares of land. Overton Moore Properties and his partner Investco Real Estate began in January on the site, the former Big Surf Water Park. John Werstler, Cooper Fratt and Tanner Ferrandi from CBRE are the listing brokers and said they have already won interest from companies who would like to rent space in the industrial park.

Story: The site used to be the big Surf Water Park in Tempe, which was closed for the season in 2019 but never reopened. Big Surf opened in 1969 and was accepted as the first wave pool in the country. According to the real estate database Vizzda, the developers bought the 2022 website for $ 50 million. In 2023, the Tempe City Council approved the reconciliation of the site, with which industrial use can be built.

When will the work be done? The construction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.
