What to expect and how to prepare

We often talk about the preparation for storms, but today your greatest concern should be your vehicle and your personal security. If you are on the road this afternoon and evening, make a plan to protect your car from hail and ensure that you and your family have a safe place to protect when the storms intensify.

In the afternoon to evening (4 p.m. to 10 p.m.):

1. Already at 4 p.m., isolated super cells were able to develop and reached a climax between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

1. Avoid transfer: Parking under a transfer during a storm is illegal and dangerous. It blocks the traffic and lets others exposed to the storm.
