What to watch while streaming: today’s deals from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and more

For the music fans among you, “Elton John: Never Too Late” on Disney Plus should be a real treat. Ahead of his final live performance in the US, this feature-length documentary celebrates the artist’s life and work. It’s a journey through the biggest hits of his career, while his most candid moments come from archival interviews.

If you’re more into movies, there are a few new releases to choose from: Joker: Folie à Deux, the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning 2019 DC film starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga; Monster movie mashup Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire; and the true story The Six Triple Eight, which celebrates the Women’s Army Corps’ only predominantly black unit stationed overseas during World War II.

For something festive to entertain the whole family, That Christmas on Netflix might be just the ticket. Santa Claus (voiced by Brian Cox) tells the story of an eventful Christmas Eve in this new film, co-written by Richard Curtis and also featuring the voice of Fiona Shaw. There’s also the animated musical fantasy “The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland” and the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” prequel “Wonka” starring Timothée Chalamet.
