When will the MBA get 120 Hz and MiniLED or OLED?

There’s not much wrong with the MBA.

With each year we upgrade to the M-series processors, the Airs are becoming integrated into the photo/video editing capabilities of laptops for more and more users. With 16GB of RAM becoming standard, I’m sure we’ll see an MBA with 32GB of RAM soon too.

However, the only complaint I have that is independent of the performance specs is the screen quality.

MBA degrees have always lagged behind MBP degrees and kind of suck.

The current Retina displays aren’t bad, but if you’re used to the PPI of the MBPs, you’ll notice the pixels. The text just isn’t as silky smooth… and the movement isn’t as fluid either, given the display’s terribly slow refresh rate (60Hz). Scrolling and resizing windows is very stuttery and choppy. Although it takes some getting used to, I would really ENJOY using an MBA with a higher PPI, a 120Hz refresh rate, and ideally with OLED or MiniLED to bring out the colors and contrast/text.

Are there any rumors of a screen upgrade for the MBA?

If you’re reading, Apple, YES, I would HAPPILY pay more for this option. I chose the Air because of the form factor/portability. I could have bought an MBP but decided against it even though I prefer the screen because for me it’s not worth the extra weight and I love the elegance of a fanless machine.

Any rumors about this?
