Where does Alabama rank in the latest polls?

The regular season ended with Alabama’s 28-14 victory over the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl. Alabama finishes Kalen DeBoer’s first season with a 9-3 record and a perfect 7-0 home record. Alabama finished with two road wins, at Wisconsin and LSU.

The Crimson Tide is currently on the outside looking in at the 12-team College Football Playoff, and while the AP and Coaches Poll won’t be used to determine the playoff field, it can still be used to gauge where the committee sees the Crimson Tide could classify.

Based on the AP Poll rankings, Alabama would be the No. 11 seed in the 12-team playoff field and would travel to South Bend, Indiana, to play Notre Dame in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce its rankings on Tuesday, December 3rd. Selection Sunday will take place on Sunday, December 8th and will determine whether Alabama officially advances to the top 12 College Football Playoff teams.
