Where to find Oni Masks in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1

Oni masks are a new addition to Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1, with different masks that give you different abilities depending on what type of mask you have. At this time there are two types of masks Fortnite: Fire And Emptiness.

Where to find Oni Masks in Fortnite

Oni masks can be found in several locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, depending on the rarity you are looking for.

Epic (Purple) Quality Masks can be found as loot from chests. The chance of finding them is higher in the fancy elemental chests around the map, which look something like this:

The Mythic (light yellow) rarity masks can only be obtained from bosses (or eliminate a player who has defeated the boss and is wearing the mask). Night Rose drops the Mythic version of the Void Oni Mask and Shogun X drops the Mythic version of the Fire Oni Mask.

You can find Night Rose in the Demon Dojo marked below, but Shogun X will randomly teleport around the map until the Shogun Arena appears on the map. He is marked on the map by his medallion, making him easy to find.

What do Oni masks do in Fortnite?

The The Fire Oni Mask allows you to shoot fireballs each dealing 100 damage in a small area. This can be done eight times with the Epic Mask and 16 times with the Mythic Mask.

The The Void Oni Mask allows you to shoot small void explosions forward and then teleport to those explosions. This can be done 15 times with the Epic Mask and 50 times with the Mythic Mask.
