While Broncos adds attention to day 2, Denver is still planning to run back

Englewood, Colo. – The NFL design of 2025 has just started.

And while the Broncos surrounded that a running back with the 20th selection as many billing designs were proposed-the team is still planning to add this position during the design.

“You never know, but we feel pretty good that we get a runner in this design,” said General Manager George Paton. “There are only many of them. If not, then we will sign you after the design (and) you will sign as free agent. There are many good players in the design, and we feel good with where we are.”

Paton recognized that the Broncos “a runner we considered in this area”, but he said that the team would probably have exchanged back to choose this player. In the end, Denver could not pass Cornerback Jahdae Barrons talent when the team was in 20th place on the clock.

Only two running backs came from the board in round 1 when Ashton Jeanty became the sixth of the Raiders and Omarion Hampton was selected by the chargers in 22nd place. According to the positions of ESPN, Treveyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins in the state of Ohio, Iowas Kaleb Johnson, the Cam Skattebo from Arizona, Dylan Sampson from Tennessee, are the remaining running backs.

“It is depth to run back,” said head coach Sean Payton after the round.

Broncos’s decision to avoid a return with their first selection also reflected the strength of the design.

“You look at this year’s draft, we felt that it was a thin year in some of the defense back position,” said Payton. “Today we saw a film for most of three hours:” If we get this player offensive, okay, great. If we don’t, there is a lump here, here is a lump, here is a lump. “There is depth in some other positions.”

Payton said on Thursday that the second and third round of the draft were “the honey hole” of the draft of 2025, and the Broncos previously spoke about this area as the most part of the draft.

On Friday, the Broncos will benefit with two picks at No. 51 and No. 85. In recent years, the Broncos have added per bowler and all-pros on the second day, including Quinn Meinerz, Nik Bonitto and Marvin Mims Jr. in 2025. The plan could include the selection of one of the remaining running runs.

In the first round, however, Denver selected a dynamic player who only strengthens his secondary level.

“(There are) many offensive players, many weapons left,” said Paton. “We have a weapon in the first round in defense (in the) first round.”
