White House Security Adviser Dismisses Drone Sightings in New Jersey – Here’s What He Claims They Are Actually

The Biden administration suggested there may be no drones over New Jersey at all – as it sought to contain growing frustration over the government’s lack of responses to sightings.

“We have been unable, and state and local law enforcement have not been able, to confirm any of the reported visual sightings,” John Kirby, White House national communications adviser for security, told reporters during a briefing on Thursday.

“In reviewing the available images, it appears that many of the reports of sightings are actually manned aircraft operating legally,” he added.

Kirby’s statement comes even as the U.S. Army’s Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County has reported 11 sightings of possible drones.

The arsenal was the center of reported drone activity – many neighbors suspected the drones were coming from the military installation.

“We currently have no evidence that the reported drone sightings pose a threat to national security or public safety or have any foreign connection,” Kirby said.

Kirby said the sightings did little more than “highlight an authority gap” and recommended that Congress pass legislation to expand drone defense powers.
