Wind gusts up to 50 mph, ice and snow are on the way Wednesday, according to the NWS

If you already have an inflatable Santa set up in your front yard, you may want to weigh it down.

Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are possible Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon, with local gusts of 45 to 50 mph this evening, according to a special weather statement for central and southwest Ohio from the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

A cold front will move through Wednesday evening, potentially bringing snow and slippery patches. Less than an inch of accumulation is expected, but the snow could reduce visibility.

According to the special weather report, wind chill values of -5 to 5 degrees are possible on Thursday morning.

Saturday: It will be mostly sunny with highs around 38°C.
Saturday evening: With a low around 29 it will be mostly clear.
Sunday: It will be mostly sunny with a high of around 49°C.
Sunday evening: It will rain, mainly after 1am. The lowest value is around 41 °C. The chance of precipitation is 80%.
Monday: It will rain. The high will be around 54. The chance of precipitation is 90%.
Monday evening: Rain is likely. It will be mostly cloudy and the minimum temperature will be around 45°C. The chance of precipitation is 60%.
Tuesday: There is a chance of rain. It will be mostly cloudy with a high of 54 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 50%.
