Pittsburgh (KDKA) – Winter weather will move through the Pittsburgh area this evening.

First alarm: Snow today in Garrett County, Maryland. Possible icy rain Wednesday evening.

CONSCIOUSLY: More rain and snow this weekend

Garrett County, Maryland, will be under a winter storm clock on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.

A winter weather consultation for the Laurel Highlands and combs from Westmoreland and Fayette runs on Wednesday at 7 a.m. The rest of us will only have a few light snow showers.

The next round of the winter weather comes at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening with the chance to freeze rain, but it will be easy and one of these situations in which the temperatures could be right above the freezer, and we don’t get much ice accumulation at all.

Currently, models show at most. 10 inches ice cream for the Laurel Highlands and ridges and less than that north of the I-80.

The rest of us may be a trace for Pittsburgh. With not much expected, it is still on a potential first alarm weather day.

On Thursday we are back up to the upper 40s with rain showers and on Valentine’s Day we become colder and sunny with heights directly around the freezer.

Rain and snow can return to the weekend and under normal temperatures if we drive at the end of February.
