Wizard keep the team below 100 points; Finally this season to do this

Washington – it took 57 games for the Washington Wizards to organize a team below 100 points this season.

Of course, Marcus Smart was not there for most.

Brooklyn held Smart and the Wizards in the fourth quarter of her 107-99 victory against the networks on Monday evening. Washington was the only team in the NBA that had not kept a double -digit opponent in the double -digit range this season, but the Wizards finally did it with them in Smart’s second game.

“It took everyone,” said Smart. “This team in Brooklyn, as we all know, they are not withdrawn from anyone. They will come out and test them at both ends.”

According to the Sportradar, the jazz from 2022-23 Utah went throughout the season without holding an opponent under 100. They were the first team to have not held a team of under 100 since the Denver Nuggets in 1990-91. Denver also needed until game no. 74 to deal with it in 1986-87.

The wizards recently acquired intelligent trade intelligent from one of the top teams in the Western Conference classification to the top teams in the league world wizards. He was the 2022 NBA defensive player of the year with Boston, but he didn’t play much since he was transferred to the grizzlies in June 2023.

Smart has recently been dealing with an injury to his right index finger, but he debuted for the Wizards last week and played again on Monday. He scored 10 points against Brooklyn in 21:38.

“There are some people who have probably slept – I haven’t played consistently for a few years now and they probably didn’t forget me – what’s cool. I’m used to it,” said Smart. “I’m still doing what I do.”

Brooklyn took a lead of 97-96 to Trendon Watfords Layup with 4:45. Then the nets only hit a few free throws with a 13 second lead.

Washington won despite 23 sales. Brooklyn has committed 18 own.

“We survived the storm,” said Wizard’s coach Brian Keefe. “We didn’t play a perfect game. We have 40 points in the second half.
