Wizards against 76ers forecast, picks & opportunities for today’s NBA game

Two of the worst teams in the NBA will take a rare victory this evening, as the Philadelphia 76ers organize the Washington Wizards in the Wells Fargo Center.

While both teams have to struggle, Philadelphia has more points available, so I will use it in my Wizards compared to 76s.

My best bet: 76 -3 (-110 at Bet365)

My analysis
With both teams that are lost in five games, it is clear that the Washington wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers do not win much these days.

Perhaps it is better to say that you are not trying to win a lot, because you are probably more interested in improving your lottery quotas in the season at that time.

However, there is still a reasonably large gap. Washington has the worst record in the league and the worst point differential (-11.9), while Philadelphia is only bad. And while the 76s are currently missing a large part of their line -up, I still like their remaining talent more than what the wizards did on the pitch.

Philadelphia plays for the rest of the season without Joel Embbiid and Paul George, while the top scorer Tyrese Maxey (26.3 ppg) is sitting with a back problem.

Nevertheless, the 76 still find ways to score points, especially to Quentin Grimes, who did a surprisingly strong work last month to act as the main corer. Grimes has an average of 22.2 ppg from the Dallas Mavericks from the Dallas Mavericks since the beginning of February and increased this to 28.0 ppg in March.

Even if Philadelphia has regularly lost, it has still scored points. In their last 10 games, the 76s score an average of 115.9 ppg. This will not set records, but it is a number that is above average, even if Philadelphia plays without many of his top players.

Can the wizards keep pace with this value level? I am very skeptical because Washington has only reached over 112 points twice in the past nine games. Outside of Jordan Poole (20.5 ppg) there is no reliable goal scorer in the team, with the rookie Alex Sarr (12.7 ppg) down the route as the second threat.

The line of this game indicates that these teams are almost the same, whereby the Sixers are only because they are at home. I disagree because I have Philadelphia myself on a neutral farm as a solid favorite. At home, the 76 should give far more than three points, so I take them to cover this evening.

Quentin Grimes 25+ points

One of the reasons why I take the Sixers to win is the availability of Quentin Grimes, who has shown that he can be an elite scorer on the chance.

Grimes has scored this total in his last eight games, and I see no reason why he cannot at least achieve this goal this evening.

Washington has entered this total in the last five games and has only 108.6 ppg for the season. Philadelphia probably doesn’t help the magicians either, so I expect the magicians to fight again.
