You can design a custom daily planner for your iPad or other tablet

Something is simple there tangible It’s all about planning your day with pen and paper, which is why many people prefer a paper day planner over a to-do list app or calendar. The Problem: A paper daily planner is another item you have to carry around, which feels silly if you already own an iPad or other tablet.

This is where Remarkably Organized Pages comes into play. With this free website you can create the PDF daily planner of your dreams. The tool was designed specifically for the E Ink Remarkable tablet, but there’s no reason you can’t use it on an iPad or other tablet that allows you to mark up PDF files. The planner itself offers annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily views, all connected with numerous links. That is, you can tap a day in Month view to view the current day page, and then tap the month or week in the header to view those pages. There are even tabs on the left margin that allow you to quickly move between days like you would in a newspaper.

First, go to the landing page and click Start creating. The web application will show you the PDF; Click around to explore. You can then click Settings Button to change things. The first few options let you choose the year, whether the week starts on Sunday or Monday, and whether you want a high-resolution file.

You can print this out as a PDF (it is recommended to do this in Chrome) and be completely satisfied; However, the real fun comes when you click Advanced Settings and adjust things. This allows you to customize things more extensively. You can add a custom title page, remove unnecessary sections, and change the font. You can also choose between custom templates for each section.

You can also add custom sections at the end of the guide. By default, this means “Notes” and “Goals,” the latter of which is a tool that helps you build visual habits without losing the chain. However, you can remove these sections or customize them if necessary.

There is also the option to import holidays or any iCal file if you want to display specific dates. I recommend digging into things and adjusting them until they look and function the way you expect. Then, when you’re done, sync it with your PDF markup application of choice.

There are other tools for creating custom PDF daily planners, including this great one on Github that you can customize if you’re comfortable with the command line. Remarkably Organized Pages gives you the ability to customize the look and feel of your planner while still making it easy to use.
