You can never have enough holiday fun!

It seems like the holidays go by faster and faster every year. This year, Thanksgiving will be celebrated just two days before December 1st. It seems the holidays are over before we can all bake Christmas cookies or finish decorating the tree.

Make sure you pack in as much vacation fun as possible because it only comes around once a year.

The 29th Annual Winter Magic Light Boat Parade at Castaic Lake

Saturday, December 7th, 3 p.m

Celebrate this special time of year with this annual Winter Magic holiday event in the lower lagoon of Castaic Lake. The event is hosted by the Friends of Castaic Lake in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. The illuminated boat parade begins at sunset.

Enjoy visits with Santa, face painting, craft table, music, games, food trucks and casual drawing. There will also be snow for children to play in; sledges will not be provided.

Donate an unwrapped toy valued at $10 to SCV’s Family Promise and receive three raffle tickets. Donate 1 can of unexpired food to the SCV Food Pantry and receive a raffle ticket.

Each child with a wristband receives a free hot dog, chips and water.

LA Kings Holiday Ice at LA Live

Skate your way into the Christmas season. The annual LA Kings Holiday Ice at LA Live is the perfect place to walk around a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

Four sessions available daily.

Nov 29 – Dec 15: 5pm – 6:30pm, 7pm – 8:30pm, 9pm – 11:30pm, 11pm – 12:30pm

Dec 16 – Jan 10:00 p.m.: 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., 10:00 p.m. – midnight.

General admission tickets are only available on site at the ice rink box office during opening hours and cannot be purchased online.

Pershing Square Holiday Ice Rink

The hottest place to ice skate is the Holiday Ice Rink in Pershing Square in downtown LA. Ice skating lessons last 60 minutes and opening times vary depending on the day. General admission is $20 and prices include skate rentals. Special events include weekly DJ Spotlight Nights and Learn to Curl sessions.

12 days of Christmas at the Queen Mary

During the 12 Days of Christmas celebration, there will be fun activities each day aboard the historic Queen Mary, including cookie decorating, gingerbread house building and stocking decorating, as well as entertaining performances, dance parties and photos with Santa.

To make each visit extra special, there is a unique event each day, from the stack lighting ceremony to Krampus after dark to a snow day with real snow.

General admission to The Queen Mary’s 12 Days of Christmas is just $25 per person per day.

Lights parade in Ventura Harbor, Christmas celebration

This year’s 65th annual LA County Holiday Celebration features a diverse program of 28 LA-based artists, including choral groups, dance groups, musical ensembles and new artistic genres such as a circus performance and a puppet show.
