Zelensky calls Putin’s 72-hour armistice promise in the Russia-Ukraine War “Manipulation”

The Russian armed forces started 100 attack drones in Ukraine overnight, announced the Ukrainian authorities on Tuesday, killed a child and wounded several people only a few hours after the Kremlin had explained a one-sided three-day ceasefire vulnering.

The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, grazed this proposal on Tuesday with the statement that Moscow would not agree to a longer ceasefire without getting any further details.

“Details are important if you talk about a long ceasefire: It would be difficult to agree to such a long ceasefire without tackling these problems,” Peskov told Russian news agencies.

Apparently Mr. Peskov tried to repeat Russia from Mr. Trump’s peace effort, repeated, and also confirmed the offer of Russia to have direct discussions with Ukraine.
