“What I could relate to most about Tashi was this pure love and passion for what she does,” Zendaya said in an interview with diversity. “She loves tennis. She absolutely loves tennis. Until her injury, it was her identity. This is how she finds power. This is how she knows and sees herself. It is her entire future. She never took a moment to mourn the loss of a life she thought she had and the loss of the love of her life, tennis. It led to her having to make a million decisions that might not have been so great, finding ways to at least be close to what she loved. And ultimately she depends on other people to fulfill this task for her.”
